Friendly match: Wales vs England
Venue: London's Wembley, the capital Date: October 9th Kick-off: 7:45 PM BST
Craig Bellamy says England's player pool is so impressive that matchmakers would not pair them with the Welsh team.
Bellamy's men face their neighbors in a friendly at Wembley on this Thursday before their important World Cup qualifier against the Belgians next Monday.
National team coach Tuchel has omitted the such as Bellingham, Foden and Grealish out of his selection for the match against Wales and their World Cup qualifier against the Latvian team.
"England have a ridiculous team, similar to the French," Bellamy remarked.
"They have a market valuation of 1.4 billion pounds, ours is 170 million. Were you a boxing promoter, you would not match us up. That wouldn't be permitted."
Bellamy explains making sure the Welsh team can compete with the talented rivals is a "driving force".
The Wales head coach continued: "Our team do not rely on market prices, but the simple fact is England have more than one team. They possess multiple and France and others are similarly stacked. They have loads of great players and that's the honest truth."
"A defender went out injured the recently and there are two dozen others to choose from! They've got over sixty players. I wish us to be stacked like them."
These two nations most recently met at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when England emerged as easy 3-0 winners in a group match before the previous England team reached the last eight.
The new manager is Tuchel, a European and world club winner at the London club who has won league championships in France and his native Germany.
The Welsh boss was formerly an assistant at the Belgian side and the English club to Vincent Kompany, who succeeded him at the German giants.
"He's an outstanding coach - his record is proven," Bellamy noted.
"I possess a degree of insight because the team he departed I am familiar with people who have gone in there. I get a bit of an insight from that of how he works and it's remarkable. "
"His tactical detail is top level and I wanted to be up against such a challenge - see how you're going to adapt because he will. I will get to learn from that. I'd love to get to that level."
